Lindsay Lohan is planning to Appeal Jail Sentence

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly split with lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley just as the actress is planning to appeal her 90-day jail sentence handed down earlier this week in Los Angeles Superior Court.

TMZ reported that Chapman Holley resigned as Lohan’s lawyer, effective Thursday. The actress has reportedly since hired Tiffany Feder-Cohen, who will appeal Lohan’s sentence. Feder-Cohen was admitted to the State Bar last year.

On a Twitter account belonging to Feder-Cohen, she Tweeted in December she was “Starting a new practice, deep breath, almost ready,” adding, “here I go!”

A person who answered the phone at Feder-Cohen’s office could not confirm that the lawyer was representing Lohan, and told Access Hollywood that they were just taking messages.

An assistant for Chapman Holley told Access Hollywood that a statement was forthcoming, while a rep for Los Angeles Superior Court was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access.

Another star who landed in jail previously, Paris Hilton, similary announced plans to appeal her sentence back in 2007, when a judge found her in violation of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. She, too, switched lawyers, hiring Richard Hutton, after being given the 45-day jail sentence in 2007. A spokesperson for the courts said in May 2007, however, that Hilton had abandoned her appeal.

Hilton’s jail sentence came as a result of a probation violation. She was on 36 months probation for a prior DUI arrest when she was stopped twice by officers who discovered she was driving on a suspended license. The second stop landed her in court, where an LA Superior Court Judge sentenced her to the 45-day jail stint

Michael Jackson was kiiied for money ! Mum katherine

Michael Jackson''s mother Katherine opened up about her torment on the first anniversary of the singer''s death. "I know Michael did not die of natural causes. Someone did this to him. Mean, evil, vicious people didn''t want him around for some reason. It just shows how vicious people are and greedy for money," 80-year-old Katherine said. "He told me several times that he felt that people wanted him gone, wanted him dead. He would always say that. And for him to say that he must have known something. But his death has brought the family closer," she added. The Jackson family is furious with the people who were around the King of Pop in his final months.

They believe the weak popstar was under pressure to perform the comeback shows at London''s O2, reports The Sun.
The family said that Jackson''s billion dollar earnings after his death have proved that he was considered to be worth more dead than alive.
"A year has gone by but it is still just as emotional. It''s very hard sometimes. I am happy that people are celebrating the anniversary because I know the world is missing and remembering my son," Katherine said.
"I''m happy because I know Michael would have been happy to see his fans still worshipping him. But every day is a struggle - I miss him immensely.
"There is not a day that goes by that we don''t think about Michael. We will never forget him," she added.

Claim of Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson

*Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has hit back at critics who claim she won the Tony Award because of her Hollywood fame, insisting she had worked hard for it.

*"A lot of my friends who are struggling actors are going through the same thing. But I can't apologise for it. I have worked my a*s off to get to where I am so I understand that struggle," contactmusic quoted Scarlett as saying.

*"For me, it's more about hiring the right person for the job. If somebody is cast because they are a name but they're not right for the job, well, it's very frustrating," she added.

Lady gaga's nostalgia......and so on

=) Lady Gaga may be best known for her gaudy outfits and over-the-top stage shows, but at her hometown headlining debut at Madison Square Garden Tuesday, the pop phenomenon proved she's a regular girl at heart.

=) Although extravagant attires (including a nun-like transparent getup with two pieces of white tape on her chest), fake blood and sparks-shooting bras were still front and center, Gaga also made it a priority to show her gratitude by dedicating songs to her father, her fans, her native New York City and her friends.

"My name is Lady Gaga, and I used to sit right over there, way far in the back and way up top," she said, pointing toward the top left side of the venue. "I saw Madonna , Cher , the Rolling Stones, Elton John, KISS. I used to stare at this side of the room, and I used to think, 'I'm gonna be up there,'" she declared, gazing at her own elaborate stage. "So, every second you watch me on this stage, you remember I was sitting where you are," Gaga said as the sold-out room roared in response.

=) Later in the show, Gaga dedicated a soaring performance of "Speechless" to her father, who was in the audience -- one of the highlights of the evening. "I remember when he would carry my piano down the four flights of our walk-up when I had shows," Gaga recalled about her father's support during the early part of her career. "Of all the drunk men in my life, Dad, you're my favorite," she half-jokingly said as she dragged her high-heeled boots on the piano.

=) Gaga's two-hour long concert was the first of three Monster Ball shows taking place this week in New York -- she also played Wednesday and was due to play Friday. During her show, the star, her supporting cast and friend Posh -- whom Gaga said once shared an apartment with her in Manhattan's Lower East Side -- enacted a trip around all over her beloved city, from Brooklyn to LES and Central Park by car, train and down a glittery road to make their way to the Monster Ball. "The monster ball will set you free!" she shouted. "Little monsters reign supreme!"

"Without New York, I would not exist," Gaga declared. "But I also would not exist without my friends. They were there with me through alcohol, bad boyfriends, girlfriends," she added before passionately performing her emotional new song "You and I" in dedication to them.

=) Gaga also sang "Just Dance" early in the night and toward the end hit "Alejandro," "Telephone" and "Paparazzi," as the octopus-like Fame Monster taunted her.

"We did it, little monsters," she told the crowd after the night's closing number, "Bad Romance." "We made it to the Monster Ball! We made it to Madison Square Garden," she said with a sense of triumph. "Thank you for making my dream come true. I love you so much."

Odom chatted with a friend all night, while Khloe and the rest of the group danced the night away.

=)Before taking her Monster Ball Tour to New York, Lady Gaga performed (and partied) in Atlantic City, N.J. The red, white and blue-clad pop star took her family gambling at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa's high stakes room. "She was laughing and having a blast," a source says.

=)Halle Berry had to print out passport photos, so the actress and her assistant headed to a FedEx Kinko's on Sunset Boulevard in L.A., and she was sporting workout clothes and a hat. According to a source, all the workers joked around about how nervous they were about messing up her order.

=)Robert Downey Jr, shopping at the Malibu Lumber Yard. The actor stopped into Kitson, spending about 30 minutes browsing in the boutique and resisting the staff's offers to help. Still, he was friendly, chatting up the cashier as he paid for his goods, which included jeans and Ray-Ban shades, which he said were for his wife.

=)Enrique Iglesias celebrated the launch of his first bilingual album, Euphoria, with friends like Wilmer Valderrama and Cat Deeley at a Target sponsored bash at MyHouse in Hollywood. Melissa Etheridge's Ex Files for Custody

Melissa Etheridge's former domestic partner, Tammy Lynn Michaels, has filed legal docs asking for full custody of their twin children.

TMZ broke the story ... Melissa filed for dissolution of their domestic partnership. In Melissa's docs, she filed for joint legal and physical custody. But now, Tammy has thrown down the gauntlet, asking for full legal and physical custody. Tammy carried the twins to term, after being impregnated by an anonymous sperm donor. Tammy, just like Melissa, says in her docs irreconcilable differences as the reason to end their partnership. Tammy is also asking for spousal support. Last thing ... it looks like Tammy made a mistake. She filed a dissolution of marriage rather than a dissolution of domestic partnership. The two did not qualify to marry during the time that they established their union.
